60 years of Sogetsu Victoria
The Sogetsu School is one of the largest of many schools established in Japan and has a large international representation. Its principles encourage development of personal style and place a strong emphasis upon creative, contemporary interpretation.
Sogetsu Victoria celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year with a range of events during October and November 2024. Kosa Nishiyama, Master Instructor from Sogetsu Headquarters in Tokyo, will present a public demonstration at The Edge, Federation Square on Thursday 31 October. Come along to an evening of delight and wonder as she make a range of large Ikebana. Mrs Nishiyama is renowned internationally for her beautiful demonstrations. Tickets available at this Link
Attendance at workshops conducted by Kosa Nishiyama is restricted to members of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana Victorian Branch and advanced students of teachers who are members of the Sogetsu Teachers Association, Japan. Apply for GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
