The Sogetsu School is one of the largest of many schools established in Japan and has a large international representation. Its principles encourage development of personal style and place a strong emphasis upon creative, contemporary interpretation.
Sogetsu Victoria celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year with a range of events during October and November 2024. Please enjoy a slide show of photos from our archives As part of our celebrations, Kosa Nishiyama, Master Instructor from Sogetsu Headquarters in Tokyo, presented a public demonstration at The Edge, Federation Square. Membership of Sogetsu Victoria is open to qualified Sogetsu teachers and people studying Book 5 on recommendation by their teacher.
Apply for GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
Student membership is open to people studying Sogetsu curriculum Books 3 or 4.
Apply for STUDENT MEMBERSHIP (you must have completed Book 2)
Qualified teachers, who are members of the Sogetsu Teachers Association, Japan, are available and conduct classes throughout the Melbourne metropolitan, outer suburban areas Geelong and Mornington Peninsula. Find a TEACHER near you.
